Energy data from the Seay building (SEA) for the same time period can be seen below.
As seen in this graph, energy consumption stayed about the same from Monday-Thursday and increased Friday-Sunday for an average of 100kW extra consumption per day in the SEA building. This is compared to an average decrease of 186kW per day in the CPE building (see chart below) during the two week Competitive Energy Reduction (CER) campaign.
This means two things: (1) We can discount weather effects on energy consumption for the two week experiment in CPE and (2) As this was a competition (albeit a friendly one), I’m happy to say to the CPE Green Team, staff and SEA members “Congratulations!” (you won)
